One way to have a lasting impact is to leave a planned gift to SMIF or to your local Community Foundation.  You can give gifts of stocks and bonds, real estate, retirement assets, cash, insurance, and even tillable farmland. There are so many options when leaving a planned gift and so many ways to create a legacy in your own community and across the region.

Gift your farmland

SMIF’s Acres for Good program allows farmers to donate their land as a charitable gift while keeping the farmland in production. The net income stream from the land is used to support southern Minnesota communities well into the future.
