Katie oversees all of SMIF’s marketing and communication initiatives. Originally from Madison, Wisconsin, Katie has lived in southern Minnesota for about ten years. She graduated from St. Olaf College in 2008 and worked on several organic farms before working for an non-profit where she helped organize a large festival focused on food, art and farming. Katie was the Tourism Director at the Owatonna Area Chamber of Commerce & Tourism for 3 years where she developed a love for marketing. Outside of work, Katie enjoys putting together puzzles with her husband, traveling as much as possible, and spending time with friends and family.

When you’ve gone to college in Northfield, the answer has to be Defeat of Jesse James Days!
What makes Greater Minnesota “greater”?
I am partial to the beautiful, unique landscapes of the Driftless Region.
