Thank you for your interest in joining the Board of Trustees of Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation.  We are planning to elect two to three new Trustees to commence their term in Fiscal Year 2020 (July 1, 2019 – June 30, 2021).  Trustees can serve up to three two-year terms. 

Self-nominations, or nominations made on another’s behalf, will be accepted as long as nominees are aware and have expressed an interest in potential Board service. SMIF is committed to finding diverse candidates that represent our region by (but not limited to) age, ethnicity, areas of expertise/sector representation, gender and geography.

Applications must be completed by December 14, 2018 to be considered for Fiscal Year 2020.   All submissions will be reviewed by the Executive & Governance Committee, and applicants will be notified by the end of January whether or not they have been selected for the interview round.  Candidates will be asked to submit a resume or CV.  All nominees will be eligible for consideration for two years.  After two years, nominees still interested will need to reapply.
