Spring Valley Area Community Foundation

The Spring Valley Area Community Foundation seeks to improve the communities and schools in Spring Valley, Wykoff and Ostrander. Founded in XXXX, the Foundation has raised over $XXX,XXX and distributed over $XX,XXX to multiple projects like the Wykoff Veterans Memorial, the Gateway Academy for Stem Education and the Spring Valley Public Library Summer Reading Program to name a few. The Foundation's premier event is the Little Huskers 1K Fun Run which hosts over 200 children each year and encourages fun exercise for kids and adults.

The Foundation creates a professional structure for managing donations and a board structure for distributing funds. We work with the Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation (SMIF) on economic development and planned giving. SMIF has provided more than $100 million in grants, loans and programming within its 20 county region during the past 30 years to promote economic development and community vitality.

The Spring Valley Area Community Foundation builds on the area's rich tradition of giving by providing opportunities to strengthen and enrich our community.

The Spring Valley Area Community Foundation strives to build a dynamic community by encouraging generosity, promoting civic engagement and providing the opportunity to enhance the quality of life by creating community partnerships.

The purpose of the Spring Valley Area Community Foundation is to connect donors who care about the future of the Spring Valley, Ostrander and Wykoff areas with causes that will enhance and sustain the quality of life for those who live there.
