GREEN ISLE - Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation (SMIF) has recently approved funding from its Business Loan Fund to JIT Companies, Inc. in Sibley County.
JIT Companies, Inc. is a high precision waterjet cutting job shop with custom decorative laminated glass cutting. With this loan from SMIF, JIT will have the opportunity to expand their market share in both areas of their business: waterjet cutting and laminated glass.
Since 1984, Ron Beltz, CEO of JIT Companies, focused his business on restoring church stained glass windows. Through the years, however, he expanded his business to include specialized services in precision waterjet cutting for custom glass fabrication, one-off prototyping, mechanical parts production, and custom architectural graphics and is proficient in cutting a wide variety of materials. In 2014, he added a laminator to expand his market share farther.
“This loan will allow us to increase our sales and marketing efforts for our architectural laminated glass to designers that land in our target industries in the upper Midwest. We are an attractive source for them because our custom capabilities allow them to get a truly one of a kind product,” Beltz said. “Thanks to this loan from SMIF, we are able to expand our business.”
