What is biobusiness?
Bioscience applies biological technology to innovations in medicine, energy, and agriculture. It involves high technology, scientific research, genetics, molecular biology, systems biology, bioinformatics, computerized information processing and data collection, storage and dissemination. Biobusiness commercializes these technologies for broad application.
Why biobusiness in southern Minnesota?
Southern Minnesota is in a strong position to lead in bioscience applications because it has an exceptional educational system, skilled employees, a notable work ethic, an existing biobusiness industry, and a strong support system for bioentrepreneurs.
